Fairfield, Queensland, Australia
Fairfield Writers Group is a mix of beginner and experienced writers who meet the second and fourth Saturdays of the month at the Brisbane City Council Library in Fairfield Gardens Shopping Centre, Fairfield road, Fairfield, Queensland. Our passion is writing and we work hard at our craft. Our aim is to encourage, support and help each other to reach new heights in our writing. New members are always made welcome and usually whisked off to the local coffee shop at the end of meetings for sustenance and socialisation with the rest of the crew.

Welcome to Fairfield Writers Group

We hope you will stop for a while and browse our site and if you like what you see, please visit us again soon.

A State Of Writing

Speakers Ink joins A State of Writing

Speakers Ink is a proud partner in A State of Writing (ASW), a network which connects writers, readers and ideas.

If you are a writer, librarian, teacher, bookseller, community organisation or passionate reader, you can draw inspiration, contacts and support from A State of Writing. You can also contribute your own knowledge and resources.

Head to the website to find your place in this new community. Here you can find events and projects and resources about writing and reading, but you can also promote your own projects and locate activities happening in your own region.

Join the website and establish your own profile – sign up your book club, your writing group, your library, your festival. Sign up yourself and connect with other people involved in writing in Queensland.

Interested in hearing more?
A State of Writing will be at the
Brisbane Writers Festival.

Join us for an afternoon of discussions and networking.
See the Brisbane Writers Festival website for further program details.
